By downloading, installing, or using SMS Courier ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SMS Courier is an open-source Android application that enables SMS message forwarding between two paired Android devices. The App operates entirely via carrier SMS—no internet connection or cloud services are required for message forwarding.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of SMS Courier, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have proper authorization to access SMS messages on devices you use
  • Keeping your pairing password secure
  • Any SMS charges incurred from your mobile carrier for forwarded messages
  • Complying with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
  • Using the App only on devices you own or have explicit permission to use

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use SMS Courier to:

  • Intercept or forward messages without the device owner's consent
  • Engage in any illegal activity or violate any laws
  • Harass, stalk, or harm another person
  • Violate any third party's rights, including privacy rights
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent security measures
  • Use the App for any commercial spam or unsolicited messaging

5. Mobile Carrier Terms

Your use of SMS Courier is subject to your mobile carrier's terms of service. Standard SMS rates may apply for forwarded messages. SMS Courier is not responsible for any charges incurred from your carrier. Please check with your carrier regarding your SMS plan and any associated costs.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

SMS COURIER IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or reliability of any information
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

You use the App at your own risk. We do not guarantee that the App will meet your requirements or that it will be available at all times.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMS COURIER AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

8. Open Source License

SMS Courier is open-source software licensed under the Apache License 2.0. You may view, modify, and distribute the source code in accordance with that license. The full license text is available at our GitLab repository.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using SMS Courier at any time by uninstalling the App. Since we don't collect any data, there is no account to delete. Simply removing the App from your device terminates your use.
